Maybe a silly question, are there any NBA bettors in here?

Diehard Rox fan here who also bets on a lot of NBA. I'll never bet against the Rockets personally, although I wouldn't chastise anyone that did if they good reasoning behind it. One thing I have done a lot this season though is bet on the total going over a lot in Rox games (esp during that stretch with Bev and DH out).

I was thinking of also possibly taking the over tonight as well (209.5) as I expect it to be end to end stuff. Just not sure how confident I am in the NBDL scrubs coming up and getting buckets. Anyway over the years at this forum (i had an old username that I forgot, but it had to do "franchise", paying homage to steve francis) and I don't recall there ever being any threads about betting on Rox, whether it be a prop bet (example; Harden OVER 24.5 pts on a given night), total, anything. and just realized if I was the only fan on here that monitors the betting markets. I very well could be, and if so. don't mind me and carry on!

    Go Rockets!

ps: the lines for first round matchups aren't out yet but I'm expecting Houston to open up as a -220ish fav (have to bet $220 to win $100) to win the series.

DaFranchise703 is what comes to mind really. Could I give you a bunch of my old email addresses.

I don't care to reactivate it at all as impressivegol is my username on various forums now. is there some benefit to having longer tenure. I can't rule out Franchise84 with that being my birth year.

dangerous betting on no-meaning games when bench players are starting.

    They didn't make the over.

yeah that weariness was what prompted me to start the thread in the first place, i didn't play it bc didn't know if bench guys could get buckets. I'll post Rocket bets I like consider and or play in that other thread in the NBA Dish forum during the postseason though, as it looks like no one over here has real interest

the games at end of the season like this often provide great wagering opportunities, like the Nets knowing they were going to play just 8 players and preferred 6th seed

-220?! No way. I'm thinking maybe around -175 tops and probably closer to around -160. Portland is better than you think. I guess we'll see!

Obviously i can see the scorecard now, but I would not have bet over 209. When you have no players playing who is scoring? No deal.

If I was a gambler, and I'm not but maybe I should be, I would bet against the Rockets if permitted. In fact, because I know the Rockets so well, that would arguably be one of my best shots at making money. It also doubles as a win win - you either win cash or your teamwins the game

very possible I'm underestimating the Blazers as they were #1 on my personal wish list of who to face in the first round from several months ago.
