Good analysis, but wish he would have used less archaic statistics...

Good write up. He makes it sound like the Rockets should be favored pretty strongly in this series.

I think he's spot-on in that if the Blazers win it will be in large part due to offensive rebounds and capitalizing on our turnovers.

I stopped reading after the FG% mention. What's this guy using, an abacus?

    This analysis is a joke:

Umm...it's a 4 game sample size? This guy is speaking in absolute truths throughout his entire essay about how guys play differently in this particular matchup...but it's only 4 games! And, since Houston won 3 of them, naturally the stats will reflect a favorable performance from the average of Houston's players and a dip from the averages of Portland's players.

Nowhere until section 3 do we get any inkling that the author watched any of the games with his own two eyes, and then even at that point I am left wondering what the heck he is trying to say:
So...Houston and Portland are different because...jump shots...superstar play...and if the SF can't make wide open threes they're in trouble???

They don't seem too hopeful. In the video, they basically say that Portland will win ONE game

Also, reading through the comments it appears their nickname for Lillard is "Dame". It felt so awkward reading it time and time again, thinking they were referring to a woman.

It's how Lillard refers to himself. Just like most of us referred to Aldridge as "LMA". Unfortunately--because we all hate the L*kers--he calls himself "LA". We've made the painful adjustment, but there's still a tinge of the purple and piss.

Rockets could pull off 'Legion of Doom' nickname.

except for having Superman....unless Dwight wants to be Bizzarro Superman. This talk about superheroes and the Rockets have me picturing Harden with a green beard like an ersatz Doc Sampson.

Not sure where this guy gets his numbers. Aldridge is shooting under 45% against the Rockets, not 50%.

Think he looked at TS%...but 50% TS% is pretty bad.
