    Wasn't Elysium pretty bad?

If by bad you mean Jupiter Ascending, then no. It was not.

Supposedly the Wachowski siblings fell victim to the ol' Studio edit.

Several people held in high regard said that there is a 4-hour version of the film that is "one of the greatest films ever made".

Read about the speculation on this a few months ago. I really hope that Blomkamp can get the key players together to get this done. He directs great, although simplistic, sci-fi action.

I'll hold out for this, then. Too bad they don't have the clout to get a 3+ hour into theaters any more.

Yeah I definitely enjoyed it. If you liked District 9 and enjoy action movies then you will probably like it. I just couldn't help but feel like I was watching District 9 without the prawns. I think it is worth a Red Box at least.

Didn't enjoy Elysium but I'm looking forward to Chappie.

I think this great news because he is a fan of the Alien Franchise and he's looking to deliver what fans have always wanted.

Elysium sucked, but perhaps Chappie will be good. Not really wild with excitement about the news, to tell the truth.

    That's Hicks.

So I'm guessing his movie is supposed to be the direct sequel to Aliens, ignoring the garbage that came afterwards?

If so, I am definitely intrigued.

Will the aliens now become a sympathetic figure that's misunderstood my mankind? Perhaps if the marines were more tolerant and less hateful this whole situation could have been avoided.
