How can you compare ISIS to the cartel? They are the youngest terrorist group in the league right now and are being managed by a new coach. There will be growing pains and still have a lot to learn on how to kill people. All they need is to draft another terrorist or trade for someone who has the same skill set as Bin laden or Hussein and they will be set. Some folks here need to have a lesson in patience. GEEEZ !!

I am mexican, i don't agree with NBA playing there but it's a money grab for the NBA. At least it gives mexican some entertainment because they sure as hell need it.

Man wtf they actually went through with it? Look how dangerous that looks!!! They are obviously smiling out of fear. BAD IDEA.
Only warning: Drop all the stupid political crap in this thread. Keep it about the Rockets activities only, the rest of this crap has no place in the GARM.
It is a world class city used to having high profile visitors from all over the world. Sure there is crime, but what huge city with 25 million plus ppl doesnt have crime. And the student incident didn't happen in Mexico City. Dumb thread. I will give you 0 stars if I could. The fact this is a 5 star thread just pisses me off even more. I may just have to swear off CF.net for at least a month just for this. It is more than a cash grab, it is about growing the game. Mexican ppl love Basketball. So because of things happening in other parts of the country, Mexico City residents shouldnt have the right to see a live meaningful NBA game? Idiotic thread.
First I feel bad, because some people of this great community this is clutchfans are racist and ignorant, because they dont know about other countries. SMH First that student thing happened in Guerrero, far away from Mexico City. so by your logic, they shouldnt play in California, because the Chicago and Detroit, crime rate is very elevated. (my point is that you cant say dont go to LA, because Chicago is dangerous!!) or playing in Houston is bad idea, because according to a houston chronicle article from 2013, two houston neighborhoods are called most dangerous in the US, so the players are insecure, because a neighborhood in the 3rd ward is no.15! http://www.chron.com/business/real-...ighborhoods-called-most-dangerous-4476367.php why this thread has 5 stars??
Perhaps people rated this thread highly because it went from negative to positive....they are over there safe and having fun with the locals, as the pictures indicate.
I was at the game! it was in '97, amazing game, decided in the last seconds, and that was a regular season game too. Amazing experience!! but I have a personal "cool story bro" about that game: they were doing pregame warmups, and I was wearing a barkley jersey, and I was sitting on courtside, then barkley was practicing free-throws and he looks at me, and he stops practicing and come to say hi to me, and shake my hand becuase he was suprised someone was wearing his jersey, and then he gave me his autograph.
