    Why did the police arrest Adidas if the victim shoplifter didn't press charges? And why did the police not arrest the victim shoplifter for shoplifting?

    The Adidas guy apparently didn't work there and there is no proof in the video of the guy actually shoplifting. At least that is how I interpreted the link shasta posted.

    Victim shoplifter sure didn't protest his innocence. You can tell the bag was full of items, and you can hear the bag being emptied. There are witnesses to verify there was shoplifting: the cameraman and customer.

    I just thought that for something like this, police would need the victim to press charges before they get involved.
