Ever since James Harden was named to the All-Star team, he has shot less than 15 FG attempts in a game for 5 (4 wins) straight games and the team has been shooting around 50% during the 5 games. I think there is a conscious effort by Harden to trust his teammates instead of doing it all. Before being named, he was shooting around 20 FG attempts in a game. If this continues, I think we will be winning more than a handful of games. Almost like Kobe, the more he shoots, the less his team wins.

Harden was in a mini slump and forcing it too much during the 7 game losing streak. Not sure if it has anything to do with the all-star naming, but his low efficiency is hurting the team's chance to win rather than helping it. Nice to see that he is trusting his teamates a little bit more.

agree. But if he's feeling it, I don't mind if he takes 100 shots. :p

Also b/c Lin handles the ball more, when Lin allow to play PG, Harden is more efficient in general.

Good because we also don't need to run Harden's career into the ground.

we had what? 5? 6? consecutive b2b's, was it really any surprise that with a starting lineup whose b2b starting experience was a cumulative of about 30 that there was some issues?

(note : young players struggle more with b2b's than older players, experience trumps youth)

Absolutely crap title, but the gist of your argument is correct. Harden is trusting his team mates more and is playing more in the flow of the offense, hence the increase in his efficiency and the fluidity of the offense. Hardenball is dead, long live teamball.

Maybe this will force him to add more weapons to his skill set instead of relying solely on his jumpshot and driving to the rim hoping to draw fouls along the way. But he was still very efficient these past games.
