Lack of Rockets talk on Houston Sports Radio

Nick Wright does know a lot about the NBA and he does tweet a lot during the games.

 

I used to get pissed about the lack of Rocket talk on sports radio, but I would also get pissed because when they did talk about the Rockets, they didn't even know what they where talking about most of the time.

I do like listening to Bull when he is on the radio.

 

1560 talking NFL schedule this morning...at least its sports. 610 talking rockets...790 not talking rockets this morning

 

I've listened to the whole show since 6am and 790 has talked Rockets about 75% of the time not counting commercials.

 

And 610 seemed to be Pancakes and draft talk. Real novel topics!

 

NFL Schedule Release is also a big topic in today's talk radio...this is bigger than the NBA playoffs, yup.

So how has it been lately for you guys that listen? Are they talking Rockets a lot more now?

 

Leaving the game last night we checked every station imaginable and every one of them was talking NHL playoffs!! 610,790,1560.97.5 all of them! its very annoying, especially after such a great playoff game/win!

 

The games have been in 740am due to 790am broadcasting the Astros. Check there for post game talk.

Yea postgame was on 740, i was listening to it on my way home

 

those would be national programming at that point in the evening...that's beyond the control of "local programming."

local radio shows are talking about the rockets. i sampled all over the dial this morning and they were all talking rockets.

 

And so it begans, the Texans talk extravaganza that will carry on until April of 2015 when/if the rockets make the play offs. I'm going to have to not listen to sports radio for awhile.

Adam Clanton can't over take Lance's voice when he re-directs the conversation to Texans.

Ok, I understand why the Texans are being talked about now...but still annoying that it's going to be this way for the next 8 months.

 

It's all silly Texans talk now mate. Forget about sports radio if you want to hear Rockets.

You can expect may be a bit of Rockets talk from Charlie P.

Lance doesn't know much about Rockets to begin with and is all into football. He doesn't need an excuse to talk football. Matt's show is not a real sports show. More like a fun call in show.

 

It pretty much shows in this past free agency.

 

Lol, there's not even anything Rockets related to talk about right now. And the Texans are less than a week away from their first preseason game.
