Waiters is a scrub, the only difference is he got PT to jack it up and exposure because he's a "lotto pick".

When you're not a 3 pt threat and you can't crack 40% FG consistently then that means you're just a stat padder, it's not like he was being asked to be the focus of the defense and carry the team offensively Waiters had all the daylight in the world next to KD and WB those are two guys on the perimeter who command double teams if you can't score efficiently there then you really suck. Comparing him to JR Smith is ridiculous Smith was a sniper last season he shot 40% FG while being able to create on his own and play average D there's like no comparison.

Everyone calls Bev and 3Za the brick bros but honestly these two guys effectively shot way better than Waiters. Add his bad attitude and big mouth no wonder his previous teams didn't want him back and not surprised all he can get on the market is minimum on the most machiavellan FO in the league. To be honest though, I don't he's worth the head ache given the amount he signed for Waiters is probably gonna be a malcontent and distraction for his team.

There were a couple plays in the PlayOffs where he got a steal and went baseline to baseline in traffic and scored. A bunch of putback dunks as well as knock down some pure 3s. In a good system he's a winner. Definitely better than Eric Gordon....
