Rejecting U.S. Claims, MSF Details Horrific Bombing of Hospital & Demands War Crimes Probe

GPS coordinates were given. Taliban people were being treated, as they would be in any hospital in the world with real doctors. Building stood out because it had a generator and was lit.

The innocents were not targeted, of course. But it was known that the innocents would be killed. Imagine: Patients burning to death in their beds, doctors shot to death while fleeing. Two children burned to death in ICU. Are these the images you see when you visualize your military? If so, you have major psychological problems.

You are responsible for the predictable consequences of your actions. You cannot bomb a hospital that treats terrorists.

Come on guys. I mean... *sigh*

These are the representatives you choose for God's sake. You claim to choose these people, you flaunt that fact around the world as a reason for being all over the world. Is this what you approve of as your foreign policy? Is this worth your stagnant income and your evaporating civil liberties? This is part of what you give all that up for? How many terrorists do you think were killed vs created with this massacre not only in Afghanistan but in the impoverished greater middle east which is hearing about this story regularly?

Go home guys. It's time to go back home, like everyone else. Stay home and take care of problems at home, of which you have plenty. Do you think that "fight them abroad to protect the home" is an exclusive or uniquely brilliant strategy? They CAN'T do it otherwise they would. But if you keep bombing them, they will do the same, they will come up with the money and the resources to do the same to you because their support and desperation will grow as these events take place.

A hospital full of patients and doctors. ****.

 

There were no human shields. This excuse is old and tired, since Vietnam this excuse has been paraded around. There were Taliban people being treated at the hospital.

The hospital was 100% under the control of MSF. Everyone there was a patient. There were no operations going on there.

It still begs the question - do you kill paralyzed patients, pro bono doctors and children in intensive care in order to bomb a structure where you found someone? If you can find them in that building, can't you find them in another? Who specifically was killed that was so important???? Why were doctors shot to death while fleeing?

Honestly, look inside yourself. Think about this deeply. This was a sustained 1 hour attack on a hospital with as good a reputation as a hospital in a war zone can have. Children, patients, doctors and members of the Taliban who were 100% legitimately seeking treatment which the hospital could not deny them. This is the part of the movie where Hollywood shows you the American who can't pull the trigger. Imagine if in that movie the guy pulls the trigger and kills the suspects as well as children, patients and doctors. There's a reason that doesn't happen even in allegedly realistic war movies. This is way beyond the "human shields" argument. This is dark man. This is so dark.
