My comment gave the GM more credit *and* coaching/system less (regarding Cordarrelle), but okay. Smith, or whoever, made a great call with Hopkins>Patterson I remember national broadcasts picking 2 other WRs over Nuk in that year's draft... before games were played. Now though... unanimously.. games. have. been. played.
I was afraid I would find myself saying something I would regret now in the thread, but I stand by what said before. Hopkins has exceeded all my expectations in the deep pass game, something that I thought Patterson was better when they both came in as rookies. I still can't believe how Hopkins beats some guys deep, and even if the DB's are on him he can still go up and snatch it. He clearly has put in work to make his game better,
Still don't understand how he lasted to late 20's. Was a beast at Clemson. Scary to think Clemson had Sammy, Hop, and Bryant on the same team

Man, remember when there were people saying that Sammy Watkins was going to be better than Nuk? What a difference a year makes.
Why can't Sammy Watkins be Bills' DeAndre Hopkins? http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap30...y-cant-sammy-watkins-be-bills-deandre-hopkins
cool 3 minute segment on derstarter deandre =) http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-hq/0a...aign=nflcom-cs-homepage-videoswap_generic_nfl
Whats impressive is Hopkins yards are TRUE YARDS this year, in that his yards after catch is TINY compared to others . Meaning Hopkins isnt getting cheap yards in open space and short screens. He's getting sideline catches upfield, snagging the ball while tightly covered, getting td grabs on jumpballs. Watching the games you can see that he's not just a possession receiver, he's just out-bettering the defenders. Its almost an OVER-reliance to mild concern, he's making the small windows for completions bigger than it really is for regular wrs.

he, Bell and kelce were the best offensive players in that entire NFL draft and Kelce wasn't KC's First pick. the organizations that are "great" at drafting by the experts, barely managed to get their hands on ONE star or useful starter. though if they had Hoyett or the picksix version of schaub instead of a guy drafted in 2005 or 2004, those teams don't crack seven wins. here is hoping that Brock puts it together to stomp the idea that our organization can't draft. Not having a corpse at qb will do wonders.
