Seeing as the forum is somewhat divided on this issue, I thought I'd take the temperature.

no thanks..overrated pg. I'd rather have beverly if i'm competing to win a championship instead of just seeing a flashy assist every once and awhile on espn.

You're going to have to play a lot of small ball lineups like:

    Rubio
    Daniels
    Harden
    Ariza
    Howard

To mask what Rubio can't do and to exemplify what Rubio can do. Trouble is, that lineup would get demolished pretty badly against teams with big power forwards which include pretty much every playoff caliber team in the West.

Is this assuming we also get a PF upgrade, like you have indicated?

Hey Plow, can you provide some context? What do we need to give up to get him?

I really don't think we need a PG who sucks at shooting, is an overrated defender, and only redeeming trait is his court version. Our passer is HARDEN for better or worse, though usually better. Our PG needs to do 3 things:

    - Defend well
    - Shoot well
    - Don't make dumb passes

I say no to Rubio. The guy is so overrated it's not even funny.

Depends. What kind of package are we giving up? I dont see a scenario where it would make sense.

I would give it a shot but only if he comes cheap. I wouldn't give up too many assets to see if he would become a better player on a winning team.

Rubio wouldnt be bad for this team....

Just not worth what Rockets would have to give up to get him.

truth and ive mentioned this before where his numbers mirror kendall marshall's which is pretty sad. his numbers for finishing around the rim are ridiculously awful as well. amazing what a few highlights on tv can do for a player

Like others have mentioned, we gotta know what we're giving up.

Also, Rubio's in Fegan's camp so I'm sure the rumors are true that he's seeking a max extension.

    I think I'll no-look 'pass'.

I wouldn't trade more than some bench fodder like Black, Michelle, Terry and perhaps some distant 2nd rounder for this over-rated brickster. Don't want to lose valuable assets or picks chasing some empty stat padder with a losing mentality in the NBA.

Yeah, I like Rubio overall but not on this team, and not for the money he's going to be getting.

I'm somewhere in the middle but what we would potentially give up would not be worth it to me. I'll ride w wolverine and more depth over sending the farm for rubio

I think Rubio would work great with a true stretch 4.

    Dwight
    Ilyasova/Millsap
    Ariza
    Harden
    Rubio
    =
    YES!

    Dwight
    Jones/DMo
    Ariza
    Harden
    Rubio
    =
    NO!
