I think you got to pay Patbev his money. Dude brings so much heart and effort to floor that I think he is becoming invaluable to this team. Question is how much. I don't think you can afford to let him walk like Parsons. I would hate to see him come back here in another jersey. I know we talk about Rondo and Goran but I really feel you don't bring them in if it cost you Patbev.
How many times have you seen us "pay" for a role player? We flip him when his stock is high to avoid paying him. Thats what the rockets do, and roster turnover doesn't disagree with me before I get attacked.
Lmao... at least 8. I know his limitations as a playmaker but like I said when it comes to Lebron, it's different when you have an off guard/forward who is your real pg. Kobe didn't need a playmaker next to him and neither did LeBron. Harden is the playmaker. He has to stop turning the ball over so much though, no pg has an assist/to ratio as bad as he does
No more than $6 million per year. I love his heart and passion, but the way he plays makes him injury prone. Welcome back Pat though!
What is "his" money? I don't know the salary numbers are and all that, but you pay him like a back up PG not like a starting PG. Beverly is a high energy/effort guy and long term that will not last its just too hard to keep that up. I say 3 year contract maybe what Isiah Thomas got this year.
Beverley is the perfect fit for this team, especially with how solid he is at 3's now. No reason not to pay him what it takes to keep him. At some point you have to have some continuity in the roster.
He will get what Avery Bradley got maybe a little more if you factor in the TV deal. If he continues to have health issues that may hurt his trade value a bit.
Avery Bradley got $8M per year. This sounds about right for Pat in this market, maybe a bit more given that we are a year closer to the mega cap jump. But many factors out there and things can change a lot before the summer. He might leave but just because Parsons did doesn't mean Pat will. Parsons left because the Rockets didn't think he would be easily tradable at the max deal that he signed. If Pat's contract is more tradable, it is a different situation.
He's playing like the best 3 and D PG in the league. He's going to get paid for sure but it's hard to get a feel for his market value since he's not a great distributor and has had injury issues. I'm guessing 8 mil but it's just a guess.
Let's wait to see how he does in the postseason. We'll have a better idea of his market value then. For the record, I love the man and hope he retires a Rocket.
if he keeps hitting at least 35 percent 3s, he's worth at least 8 million a year or more. he's no secret anymore...he looked like one of the best players on the floor tonight.
You're right...We're not paying Wolverine big money....Love him, but no can do. There will be another PG here....a better PG. Even if he somehow finishes out the year, he will have to take a deep hometown discount for staying to even be a possibility.
