In perfectly fine with brining him & Lowry in if we miss on a big name. wish he didn't have that player option tho.

Great fit for this team. Would they take Lin, #25 and a second rounder?

Would be incredible if we can somehow nab Khris Middleton. I feel like that guy's going to develop into a perfect role player.

Doc Rocket said there was interest in Ilyasova before... I'm sure that interest didn't go away.

After we get Lebron/Melo, how about a sign and trade Parsons for Ersan and a draft pick/filler?

Ersan can play the 4 and Parson thinks Milwaukee is beautiful lolol

Besides being a good 3pt shooter, he's a good rebounder too

Seems like a reasonable backup plan assuming it's only one part of two moves. For example, something like the following.

3 way deal: Asik to Atlanta, Expiring + Schroeder or pick to Boston, Jeff Green to Houston. Atlanta gets their center. Boston dumps salary Green for Rondo replacement, Houston gets a wing depth.
    Milwaukee deal: Lin + 2015 1st rounder + 2015 2nd rounder for Ilyasova

    Resulting lineup

    Howard/DMo
    Ilay/Jones
    Parsons/Green
    Harden/Green/Daniels
    Beverley/Canaan
    + our draft picks

It's not Melo or LeBron. But that team should be much better than last year's Rockets.

If the Rockets add a legit stretch 4 and retain Parsons, the Rockets are a championship contender. That's all we can ask for.

Yep. Especially since they're trying to move Knight to SG. They could draft exum and groom him and see how Lin plays this year

Obviously not going to do it for this draft and before FA, but he is a solid option that wouldn't cost much. However, it would essentially mean we are done playing in FA with this core, save using exceptions.

Something of interest for me would be packaging Lin and Terrance Jones for Ilyasova and Zaza Pachulia in conjunction with a trade that sends out Asik for a 1st that could be spun to (with maybe that Knicks 2015 2nd) Orlando for Aaron Aflallo.

PG: Beverly (MLE player like Vasquez)
    SG: Harden (Afflallo)
    SF: Parsons (Afflallo)
    PF: Ilyasova (DMo)
    C: Howard (Pachulia)

I'd be pretty darn happy with that team as a consolation for losing out on a top FA.

He will nvr be a Rocket. Overated value. Overated fit. ...Morey will always hold out for Max player.

I don't think so. They still wouldn't be better than the Thunder, the Spurs, or the Clippers (or the Warriors either if they add Love). Morey pretty much can't afford to not go for the homerun, he doesn't have to hit it this offseason (if he doesn't he has to in the next), but to sign a player like Ersan wouldn't be close to enough to make this team a legit contender.

Not a bad plan D. Plus we have MLE and BAE to fill in the backup C and PG positions a little better. But that is a solid 7 man rotation just like that.
