Meh. Sounds like the author is trying to write a hit piece on Woj to make a name for himself. Interesting read nonetheless, but lets face it...Woj didn't get to be the go to guy on NBA deals because of his looks. He worked his butt off for that.

And if he's going after ESPN....good. Those entitled idiots that run that network need to be humbled IMHO.

Interesting is pretty much the only way to put it positively.

The writer definitely doesn't like Woj and seems decidedly pro-ESPN. He paints Marc Stein as a unbiased reporter and uses Ric Bucher as a source. Also, his description of a verbal altercation between Woj and Hollinger doesn't appear to have any source at all. There seems to be a lot of truth to this piece, but it's also very biased.

Wow what a smear piece. I guarantee ESPN paid for that.

I approve. Westbrook is a beast, better than ever before. I wouldn't be surprised to see him win MVP.

I'll take your word for it. All I know is that Woj often talks about the Rox in a positive light
    --------------------

Also I damn near fell off the couch with the Alanis Morissette level of irony in this statement:

If this is true, it only makes me like Woj more. Everything in the article can be totally true and I would still prefer him over ESPN throwing feces on the wall because they have no sources and are only capable of making up stuff.

The part about Woj pretty much harassing people for not breaking it to him first has been out there for some time. I believe cyberx said it one time too.

I know nothing about that, but I do believe Woj will do just about anything for a scoop. Sports reporting is a dog eat dog world. I personally am not made of the stern stuff it takes to make it in that field.

This isn't really much new. Anybody who read Woj's Yahoo columns and reports know that his breaking news are fast, accurate, and a step ahead of anybody else. His opinion pieces are like the rantings of a 10 year old, almost like writing a fictionalised version of what happens in the NBA. I follow Woj on twitter, and his tweets are pretty accurate, but I always take a grain of salt when reading his opinion pieces.

^ Getting scoops doesn't make you a great reporter. Like the article said, Woj was built for the twitter age.

What I don't understand is if Woj is so disliked around the league, how does he get so much inside information? Also, if people are genuinely afraid of being a target of one of Woj's hit pieces, how do they reconcile that with the fact that everyone knows Woj is a "bad" columnist?

Either his columns matter or they don't, which is it?

Somethings gotta give. Does he have noods?

Agree with this. Woj is great with breaking news. Opinion pieces have always seemed to be of ESPN quality.
