Useless article. His point is that trades won't make a difference if the core underlying problem is Harden and his defense, but it is not realistic to get back star talent for him.

Nevertheless here are four totally BS trades he pulled out of his ass

LOL, ESPN Insider is an effin joke

Man it's typical ESPN fluff stuff. Where they imagine the Lakers getting superstar players like Harden on the cheap.

it all depends who is available. hard to envision a guy leading a team to a c if he doen't have the self-motivation to play harder especially on defense when he needs to.

superstars like kobe, wade, & lebron are all hungry, hungry hippos. parker & duncan ever looked like they were half-assing a game or at least on one end of the court?

What about offense? Or more importantly, what about win/loss record?

By the way, no s*** that Dwight's defensive numbers would be better than Harden's. Could you imagine if they were even remotely equal?

While the trade suggestions and overall thesis of the article may not be anything special, the data on Harden's lack of defense was definitely convincing...

The Rockets are the 8th best team in the league on offense at 104.2.
On defense? Houston is 28th overall at 106.4 points allowed per 100 possessions, ahead of three teams -- the Brooklyn Nets, L.A. Lakers and Suns.

The best Offense cannot win you a championship but the best Defense could make things more interesting.

most frustrating part is that when he wants to, Harden is actually capable of being an average to even good defender.
