Harden is a far superior offensive talent. Might I say one of the best offensive players of all-time. And he has the tools to be a good defender, just needs to show actual effort on that end. Kawhi on the other hand, is an elite defender, but a much worse offensive player. However, his work ethic and demeanor is much more professional. Would you magically swap Harden with Kawhi if given the opportunity?
Kawhi is coachable. You can mold him into whatever you want or what your system needs. Harden... is less coachable.
spurs would never do it. they value Leonard way over harden. I think most franchises do tho its close.
Yes. Talented players who don't give consistent effort and aren't leaders aren't franchise building material. Derrick Coleman disease.
I don't see Kawhi as someone who can single-handedly carry a team. Like the best Tonto out there, but I have doubts he could generate the offence by himself.
No. Harden is having a down year. It's funny how easily people forget about last year when he literally carried Houston to the #2 seed.
If Harden didnt have to carry so much of the load offensively he would be afforded more energy on the defensive end.
Yes i would. Younger, more years under contract ,every year adding skills and things to his game, Dpoy. And with him the roster construction would be very easy since he is a 2 way player who isnt too ball dominant. You can fit kawhi next to any other player in the league. No need to find all ne to hide him or problems with sharing the ball.
Kawhi's turned himself into a heck of a player. He's young, plays both ends..But, he is surrounded by a system with a great coach and very good players. James can put a team on his back when he's right. So, while I don't want to diminish Kawhi...The guy has really turned into an amazing player. But, James...He's just on another level when on....and will likely mature/learn to trust his teammates... I mean, eventually, he's going to get serious...move through this period...Next year, we will have a coach that will hold him accountable. James will have gone through his Olympic experience with Coach K and the boys. He should be in great physical/mental shape.
Sure if we can turn our offensive system around, but as it stands Harden is a perfect fit for isoball offense. If we change up our offensive scheme though Kahwi would be amazing. Kinda redundant with Ariza though...
lol...Hell no! What a silly thread! Kawhli is product of the Spurs offense system...He'd be a scrub if he played here!
Without a doubt. Don't see why San Anto would do it though. Harden wouldn't fit in with their philosophy.
While I certainly wouldn't trade James for him you're comment is ridiculous. Kawhi is one of the best players in the entire league. Credit where credit is due
