Looking very good in the game vs. Lakers, hope he continues to get minutes and show that he's worth the hype.
4 ast in the 1st quarter tonight, always wanted us to draft this kid, he has unique vision and passing.
He's basically everything people saw in Tyreke, but without the head issues and with more ball-iq and passing. If he develops a nice jumpshot he'll be a great player.
Why do you think Wroten fell so far in the draft? People said he had issues and the questioned his bball IQ In fact coming out of college Wroten had more question marks at both than Tyreke Evans did.
Reading through this thread, I had to find the highlights (below). The block is at the 5:00 mark. His efficiency in the D-League with the Reno Bighorns wasn't incredible -- 41% shooting, 33% from three (12-36) in 10 games, but he's only 19 years old. 15.7 points per game in just 25.4 minutes. Also 3.2 assists, 2.6 boards, 1.5 steals. Looks like he's strong, active and has good size (6'6").
Guard development in Memphis seems weird. Conley developed well. But OJ Mayo, Vasquez, Lowry all got a lot better after leaving
I haven't seen too much of Wroten, but don't you think that would be a bad guard tandem? Wroten doesn't seem like an off the ball type player. With that said, I am a fan of his. I'm skeptical of his potential because his jumper makes Lin look like Ray Allen, but I still think he'll be a solid player.
I know what people said but I never understood it, his ball iq and vision are incredible and he shows focus since being drafted.
Probably because he had more turnovers than assist in college because he was trying to be too flashy. I'm a big fan of Wroten but there is a reason a guy that talented got drafted in the 20's.
Partially because nba scouts tend to be dumb, see the Monta Ellis"he's too skinny" etc. or "draft the big first".
