AB, this is really funny. And I could help with the Japanese if you wanted it. But, seriously? Edit: WIKIPEDIA, yeeeeeeah! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chinese_character
Well, after a quick search, here is a decent reference at a glance: http://www.mandarintools.com/chardict.html 華 simple: 华 húa flowery; illustrious; chinese or 漢 simple: 汉 hàn Chinese; name of a dynasty This is a guess, and may not fit your humorous intent without also adding the word for symbol: 標記 simple: 标记 biāo jì sign; mark; symbol; to mark up
Why is chinese character tattoos more popular than Korean or Japanese? random stuff from wikip 대한민국 ひらがな
I'm no expert, but isn't there 2 types of writing systems in Japan? One utilizing a lot of Chinese characters, another seldom draws similarities. similar to Chinese' traditional and simplistic forms?
Not sure actually. All I know is when I watch Anime and they don't translate something, I ask my wife what it says. She says she can read 70% of the Japanese words.
All my friends have gone Dago's on the North Freeway. If I can keep my nerve I'm going in the morning. Thanks for all the help guys!
First, if you get a Chinese symbol the artists will be laughing inside at you. Second, that symbol will take 5 minutes, maybe. You won't even have time to enjoy the pain of a real tattoo. Third, you mind as well get some tribal to go with the Chinese symbol while you're there. Maybe bring your WalkMan cassette player and listen to some Counting Crows and Mr. Jones it out to mute the laughing.
