since I started following the team in 92. Even during the last 4 years of Rudy T (99-03) - Francis, Cato, Anderson, Mobley, Dickerson etc. We had players who tried every night despite the records & no playoff appearances. I was excited to see them grow as a team. No Leaders = Harden / Howard do not demand respect from others. The players look to be playing iso ball the entire game. Give it to the hot hand and move out the way. The system is built to have 3 point specialists & it makes me laugh when I see T-Jones attempting his usual airballs. The players who had certain strengths (T-Jones, Brewer) are basically falling apart. Harden is literally in his own world, he has the offensive tools on certain nights but the effort is not always there. Similar to Carmelo Anthony. The team needs to be built around a group of players who enjoy playing together. I know it's only 18 games, but this team has lost me. We all know they will not advance far this year. Trades need to be made. Draft better. Find better coaching. I will always be a Rockets fan..... but I'm just disgusted with this entire team. Morey has a lot of work to do!
Pretty Ef'ing pathetic. Even the players chuckle to themselves on the court at times at the ridiculously idiotic sitautions that occur, like when Terrance Jones just sits in space, catatonic during a side out and prevents the passer from getting the ball to Harden. Stupid plays on top of stupid plays.
All those years of overachieving and when the Rockets finally have the pieces they become the biggest underachievers. It really is a waste of talent. I don't know if Lawson has personal issues or not, but if he does the Rockets should just pick someone up from the Vipers and let the man go on leave from the team. As for Harden, I sometimes wonder if he just wants to bum his way over LAL. I wish Morey could trade the guy to the 76ers and let him rot in lottery hell. It baffles me how quickly this team could drop off in one year. Is Houston cursed by Matt Schaub's ghost? Morey should be cleaning up his office because I do not think he is long for this Rocket's life.
What happened to the team is gonna be a mystery...I hate saying this but Morey was totally wrong picking Harden as team leader building on that.
Totally agree, never been so disgusted, dissapointed, or disintrested in a rockets team in 23 yrs. They have been my favorite team out of any sport for so damn long, now I just don't care.
I agree. Its sad when you have the talent and are playing like crap, but seems to not even try. I would rather watch the Lowry, Scola, landry and Hayes team. Heck I will even take the Francis and Mobley team cause at least they played hard.
The thing which has p*ssed me off more than most this season, was last night's game when Brewer got yanked after those two disgusting turnovers in a row. He's over there laughing on the bench. ***** off. Give me a player who is going to be disgusted with himself over letting his teammates down. I don't know how many times I can say it. The ghosts of Lowry and Scola which haunt the halls of Toyota Centre give more effort than our players. I don't even look forward to a Rockets' game day now. What is the point in getting emotionally invested in this *****ing joke of a team. Gun to my head. I choose the 09 Rockets team 101 times out of 100 over this sorry group. I won't even call them a team. They don't deserve it.

Agreed. This team has replaced their hearts with warm butter. They could just care less out there. The first five or six games I racked it up to stumbling out of the gates and maybe thinking they didn't have to try. Now this far in I think they just don't care. I don't know if Phil Jackson, Pat Riley or Greg Popovich could get anything out of this group. They have to WANT it. Pretty sure they just want to cash their checks.
I am following this team only 4 years but last 3 games was the worst from what I've seen earlier. First time in my life this summer was so long and after summer -this? S**** I can't get over all this BS.
the first 10 or so games i agree with OP but the past few games there has been an improvement in effort. they're playing with a bit more sense of urgency lately. harden played a lesser role tonight which i think is good. we need to get more players involved with this team, night in and night out. that is how teams build trust and find their place. you know who this team really reminds me of? our team after the 09' season when yao went down. why? the same problem coming into the season ---->>>no identity<<<------- it was too little too late when they finally meshed and we barely missed the playoffs though. lets hope we can turn it around, but they've gotta scrap for it. nothing is coming easy this season.
