First off, I’d like to wish you all a very happy and prosperous New Year…especially our Clutch Community members! Clutch Community is looking to grow leaps and bounds in 2015 – with continued aide from others on the board, and support from abroad. I see great things happening in our quest to reach people in need throughout our city. My wife and I are looking to do much more this year, furthering our vision for Clutch Community. I’m hoping and praying that someday we will be blessed with a Civic Center to help underprivileged children. A place where kids can come to encompass education, music, art, sports, etc. We decided to do two events during the month of January…and hopefully we will be able to continue at this pace (or exceed it) in the near future. Our first event in January will take place on Saturday, 24-January from 8AM – 11AM for the Catholic Charities Food Fair at the Guadalupe Center on 326 S. Jensen. Our duties will include sorting and distributing food to families in need. For those that remember this event from last year, the morning goes by fast (I think we finished before 10:30) and we get to see the faces, offer a smile, and shake hands of the people we are helping. We broke a record also, feeding more than 200 families! Our second January event is scheduled on Friday, 30-January from 8AM – 2PM for the Houston Health Foundation “See to Succeed” program at the West End Multi-Service Center on 170 Heights Blvd. This program provides free vision exams and eyewear to children and youth in need. Our duties will include escorting 200 – 400 children through the clinic to ensure each child is safe and receives services. If you are interested in joining us at either (or both!) events, please let me know so I can have you added to our list. As always, we encourage you to join the Clutch Community social group. My contact information is listed there as well. Shoot me an email, phone, or text. May 2015 bring you lots of happiness, health, wealth, good fortune…and, of course, many charitable-opportunities! A hearty THANK YOU to all our 2014 volunteers for your hard work and contributions. With your support, 2015 will be bigger and stronger than ever! Thanks for reading. Kind Regards, Roc Paint
Yes that's all, the parking is in the back. Try to get there about 15 minutes early so my wife and I can hook you and yours up with some Clutch Community T-Shirts.
It's really a great time. For a few hours you get to really impact the community and meet some really cool Clutchfans. It's a lot of fun. These organizations really need the help! I was surprised at how excited and appreciative they are to have us there.
I've got 8 committed to 24th event. I'm still looking for a few more to help with the See to Succeed event on the 30th. I'm not expecting a big turnout because I know it falls on a Friday.
