Awesome story man! Nothing like cheering a little Rockets fan up on his birthday. Props to whoever paid it forward.

This is one of those stories that should be printed out and posted near water coolers and on bulletin boards. There are good people out there, who do nice things for no reward or attention. It gives you hope for the world, and it's a good example for us to try to live up to in our own lives. Thank you for sharing.

This is one of the reasons why I never bother trying to 'win' tickets from the radio stations or things like that.

Those seats are all the freebie seats, little chunks stuck in between large groups of children or other groups, and the experience inevitably sucks.

There is a REASON they are giving the seats away for free, it's because absolutely no one would want to pay for them.

There's nothing more unsatisfying than deciding to go to a game, looking online for seats, finding some, paying the prices asked, only to arrive and find you are stuck in the middle of some large group of kids who couldn't care less about the game.

The very few times I have been to a game at Toyota Center, that exact same thing has happened EVERY TIME - once with 'free tickets' I won as a 'prize' from 610, and the other times I actually paid money for the experience.

Never again. Sports radio stations should be ASHAMED to give tickets like those as 'prizes' to Rockets fans.

My TV at home gives me a much better view of the action anyway.

Glad the OP managed to escape from that particular hell, well done.
