With all these players getting money thrown at them like strippers and most of them being outrageously huge offers. I wanted to know who in the nba, as of right now, is the best bargain contract wise. I'm not talking about role players but mainly about star lever players. My pick is James harden of course. Dude is locked up until 2018 and is making an average of 15-16 mil a year. MVP type player and is for sure top 3 play right now. All these max contracts and huge offers had me thinking. Let me know what you think. Here's a few players to reference to-

    Klay Thompson - 4 yrs 69 mil until 2019 (17,250,00mil avg)

    Kyrie Irving - 5 yrs 90 mil until 2020 ( 18 mil avg)

    James harden- 5 yrs 78 mil until 2018 ( 15,700,00 mil avg)

    Plead you're case!

    Wrong place for this thread.

To your point, why would you list Thompson but not Curry? His current contract is 4 years/44 million. He's under contract for 2 more seasons.

Curry is the "best bargain in the NBA" by a long shot.

Curry is the biggest bargain. He makes less than Tyson Chandler.

Yea it's either Harden or Curry easily. ESPN actually did an article about this like 5 days ago. If I recall correctly t had Harden 1 and Curry 2. I believe they used WARP and their average amount per year. Hard to go wrong with either Harden or Curry. Both bargain contracts for MVP caliber production.

Idk, AD is a monster player but his new contract will be a monster too. With the injurys he has had, I wouldn't call it a bargain just yet. For this next year yes. After that who knows.

He just signed the biggest contract in NBA history. We do know.

    5 years, $145 million.

    He's worth it.

Exactly my point, what happens if he keeps missing 20-30 games a year with the team not doing much in the playoffs IF they even make it.. Seems like a lot of money to pay a player that can't stay on the floor.. Then that contract won't look so good. But don't get me wrong. He's top 5 player for sure so the contract does seem good for him. For now

Don't worry, ESPN just ran this study, and the answer is not Curry, here's the answer:

Main reason is the length of Harden's contract as well as value will be greater in future years with a higher salary cap, compared to this coming year.

Cool, didn't see that anywhere.. I didn't look into boogies contract. Looks good on paper but where has he gotten Sacramento? James harden at least got us to the playoffs by himself his first year. Then with some help got us a lot further than we have been in a long time.

The NBA is a joke when it comes down paying players they overpay a lot for a player.
