I work with DJ's uncle and talked to him today about what Deandre was thinking. He said he talked to DJ on the phone last night and that he has not made any sort of list yet at all, and yes, I asked about Dallas. DJ said he won't start looking too far into it until next month. Said he would stay in LA if money was right. DJ is also taking the new cap into consideration and doesn't want to risk losing out on a lot of money if he were to get injured (his uncle had to take a phone call so I didn't completely understand this, if anyone wants to elaborate).

I posted in Free Agents, but figured I should start a thread considering I can update whenever free agency rolls around. Take it FWIW

So my takeaway here is that DeAndre will stay with LAC if they give him a fresh new 5 year max contract (and they should).

I nominate July 10th as the designated day for us to all enjoy a big laugh at the Mavs expense.

I would trade Dwight straight up for Jordan.

he has the same weaknesses as dwight does, with less positives at basically the same money. 3-4 years from now, you might be on to something. right now? no way.

the way I see it is at least with Jordan Rockets don't have to waste position running offensive plays for him

Sounds to me like he's saying he's aware of the increased cap, but if LAC were to offer a full max he would likely sign it rather than signing a short deal and trying to get more money next year. That way he would be protected against the possibility of getting injured between now and then.

Jordan needs a quality PG to be effective. Dwight does not.

Dwight isn't an effective player unless he is getting lobs for dunks.....exactly the same as Deandre

    they are exactly the same

    I wouldn't say they're exactly the same.

Dwight protects the rim better than DJ and even though we all cringe when Dwight gets the ball in the post at least there's a chance he could score. You wouldn't even consider giving the ball to DJ in the post.

Jordan has more blocks, but this is a trailer-park so you can say whatever you want I guess.
