Over and above all of this discussion I seriously doubt Morey would want to tie up a roster spot on Barnes.
He only played 30 minutes with the Clippers because they had no one else to play the 3. It's practically a consensus among Clipper fans that Barnes is a major liability for them on that starting lineup. He isn't a good defender anymore, his 3 point shooting is mediocre (he shot 36% last season, and that was his career best. Before that he was a mediocre 34%.). Barnes falls off even harder in the playoffs shooting wise. Barnes doesn't add to this team besides veteran presence and attitude. Prioritizing on Brewer (and to some extent, developing KJ McDaniel) would be a better option instead.
Based on how the poll is going, there are apparently 46 people that I hate more than matt barness; rockets fans who want him on this team :grin:
The Grizzlies traded for Matt Barnes to add to their Grit and Grind squad. You people still convinced Barnes isn't even worth a minimum salary pick up?
