I bought a $10 antenna from Walgreens, and I cant pick up channel 51... do you think ill be able to with this $35 tv atenna from Sears? Says Ill get 20-30 channels. On my antenna now, I get 4-5 channels. http://www.sears.com/sr/javasr/product.do?BV_UseBVCookie=Yes&vertical=ELEC&pid=05768505000
I bought an antenna similar to that at Radio Shack, and I pickup 51 crystal clear. Much clearer than it ever is on my DirecTv or Cable.
I went through the same thing you're going through, and buying more expensive rabbit ears didn't help. I hate to say it, but you might want to consider an outdoor antenna. Raven
I'm also west/20m from dt and I pick it up on antenna. not always clear though. aren't they broadcasting from Katy?
The key to getting 51 with an indoor antenna, is to make sure the antenna is amplified. Looks like that one is. I had very good luck with an RCA amplified antenna I bought at Wal Mart. I had to play around with the atenna positions for a while, but it eventually came in. Not crystal clear, but decent enough to enjoy the game.
Have you heard of a thing you plug into an electrical outlet and it turns your house into a giant antenna? I'm not making this up but I don't know much about it. I've seen something like it. I think you connect it to the back of your TV.
does anyone have one of these in Austin? how many channels does it pick up. i really dont want to pay for cable of any kind so im thinking this might be the best alternative.
