As much as everone hates their specific flavor (Manziel, Clowney, Bortles, Bridgewater)... This is worse
I don't think this is something you should announce right before the draft... hopefully its for a 7th rounder and just to see if he can even make the team.

Who is the guy reported this? I wont believe it till I see it from a major source. If it's for a 2nd Im going to be pissed. I can deal with it being a 3rd
Complete opposite mentality on my end. O'Brien hasn't proven anything to me yet. I'll trust proven coaches.

Second source says nothing doing at the moment on Mallett to Houston. We'll watch how it plays out. Makes sense if Clowney is No. 1.
— Tom E. I would be fine if it's for a fourth rounder but I doubt it would be. A bit underwhelming after all the Manziel, Bridgewater, Bortles talk, but maybe he proves us wrong if this is true.
Can't we just waste one of our own picks on a lead footed backup caliber player that we don't have to anoint as the starter and hand a big contract?
Just mentioned this on NFL Network when the guys were talking about Bortles and the Texans being interested in him, if they trade down.
If it's for anything more than "future considerations", then Im not happy with this. And unfortunately, "future considerations" has never played a role in NFL trades.
Why are people down on Mallett? Even if we draft a QB in the first or second round, I think it would still make sense to get Mallett. Better than putting all eggs in one basket. TJ Yates and Keenum are not the answer.
