At the risk of trying to herd cats, two comments.
FIRST) "Why do LOFs come here if they aren't happy with Clutch/Real Rockets Fans/Houston/etc?" Same as most of us I expect:
    • To hear about Bev's medical status and discuss how his D will disrupt Lillard next game
    • To estimate the chances of Harden having a great next game and bring the series back to Houston
    • To talk about Howard's leadership and the blindness to that by the national media
    • To learn from detailed analysis of prior games, defensive strategies, opponent's favorite moves
    • etc.
All that content and much more is available in the discussions here at ClutchFans. The wheat has always been embedded in the chaff, it's just that there is a LOT more chaff these days - thousands of Lin fans who don't know Rockets history or maybe not even the rules of basketball. And hundreds of other posters who can't stop themselves from salivating every damn time Pavlov rings his bell. (eg. "McHale must hate Lin as he won't compliment him!" Must. Flame. LOF.)

SECOND) All disagreements become exponentially worse when you think "God" or "Truth" or "Principle" are on your side. Disagree with your annoying neighbor about something while thinking "we all gotta get along on this block" and you'll probably resolve the issue. Think "by god he's not going to dishonor the memories of my ancestors who fought and died to get this land!" and things probably won't turn out so well.

Don't make everything a freaking holy war. Let people be wrong, or dumb, or whatever other failing and don't bring in the mistreatment of ethnic minorities or the sanctity of Rockets history. Stop posting simply to stir up crap, and stop replying to those who do. Let the noise ratio get down to a more manageable level.

Enjoy the rest of the season, as long as it goes, and even the traces of Linsanity should they appear. But stop focusing on the Lin Insanity. You might think the GARM is a real asylum these days but resist the urge to have yourself committed.

That is one thing I do not understand as well, why are LOFs still here.

You should really take your own advice and just let Lin fans be Lin fans. They have every right to be here on this board to express their opinions, however fanatical they may be, on a specific member of the team they are a fan of. Thats what the whole point of this forum is. If you're tired of all the back and forth between Lin Fans and Lin Haters on this board, then quit making threads like this which only serves to fan the flames.

Not my intent to fan flames or hassle Lin fans. But good points, I'll do as you suggest.
