FYI, we gave away a very high 2nd rounder by picking Tony Hollings in the supplemental draft. Not to mention the 2005 2nd and 3rd rounders Casserly traded for Philip Buchanon.

He is the Isaiah Thomas of football.

Not to mention the 2nd and 3rd rounders he has wasted on trash like Seth Wand, Bennie Joppru, Dave Ragone, etc. Casserly is a complete joke, how he is still around is beyond me.

In fairness, they gave up that pick when Oakland was coming off a Super Bowl year. No one picked them to be that bad.

Agreed, but nobody predicted Hollings to be any good either. :)

Banks almost single handedly beat the 49ers and ruined the chance at a #1 pick. He deserved to go!!

Hollings was a waste. If the Texans wanted him that bad couldnt they have waited another few rounds in the supplemental draft to pick him?

We'd take huge cap hits if we cut Walker and Wade this offseason, as opposed to next. I could easily see Wiegert and McKinney cut, but I think we could probably deal Payne to a 3-4 team, he's a good NT. We saved about $1.1 million this season and $700K next season with the three cuts today.

from what i remember, if the texans didn't get him someone else was gonna pick him up, he was an intriguing prospect, b/c that 6 games or so that he played running back, he was leading the nation....so everyone thought he could be worth the gamble if he developed into a good rb....i don't mind that pick, it was a gamble that failed....like the drew henson one that was a success....

Coleman was bound to go, looks like Brown and Earl are developing into a good tandem.

Banks is no surprise either, i think it's time to give Ragone a chance, he showed he can play in NFL Europe last yr, so time to give him a chance to win the backup job....

someone mention the buchanon trade....we gave up alot for him, but he was a playmaker that we needed bad in the secondary since they were planning to release Aaron Glenn anyway...

wand...everyone said he was an excellent pick...I still think he will become a solid player, the guy has been bouncing around the line his first few seasons, hasn't really gotten a chance to settle into one position...

but yeah, Casserly has made calculated decisions trying to improve the team, but most of them have not worked out...i'm not defending for him, but he really hasn't done that bad....btw, personally i don't like him.... lol....but trying to be fair...

I hope McKinney is the next cut. I've never seen such an average player with so many tv shows and radio shows. You would think this guy was an elite player.

He's local and he has a great personality. Imagine what VY would be like.
