Rockets should've been #5 seed

Remember, the only reason the Rockets were #2 is because SA lost the last couple games of the regular season. Otherwise, we would've dropped to #5. The way they are playing GS shows their true seeding. The 3-1 comeback vs. LA and the comeback games in that series is not something we can consistenly count on.

To beat a team like GS, you have to start out strong and keep your foot on the pedal. We don't have the players capable of that and GS does. The Warriors have what it takes from the top down.

Anyone notice when the Warriors are on offense, they are moving all the time? The guys without the ball are constantly looking to get open. When Rockets are on offense, we all stand around waiting for the guy with the ball to make a play. To me, that's the biggest difference in these teams. And of course, they have a guard that shoots lights out. It's impossible to defend a team that plays that style of offense and that's why they are where they are.

Yes they are a better team, but the fact we made it to the WCF is proof we were a legit number 2.

This thread is seriously idiotic. If we weren't the true second seed then why we are in the WCF??? And why we barely lost the first two games at less than 5 points?

The Warriors were the only team of the playoff teams that I felt the Rox really had no shot beating. They are deep, have a good system, good coaching, higher IQ, etc. I felt it was just too much to overcome. Expected better competitiveness though. I feel Cleveland has a good shot at beating the Warriors because they have a transcendent player in Lebron. The Rox don't have a Hakeem, Lebron, MJ, etc to cover up the massive flaws on this team. Harden has had a spectacular year but at this level of playoffs against a stacked team like the Warriors, the team either needed a bunch of players to play over the heads or a transcended performance by Harden. Howard's game is too limited offensively to expect a transcendent performance from him.

The Spurs lost just the last game of the season and ended up with one less win that us. That means than we should have been the second seed. Wtf does "should be" mean to you?! Smh.

Btw, we would have been the fifth seed with homecourt so essentially we would have been the 4th seed.

The Rockets should also be up 2-1 in this series. Remember when we had a 16-point lead in game 1, and Dwight got hurt? Then, the two missed calls in game 2 in favor of GS that lead to 4 points for them yet they only won by 1?

We missed easy shots too, otherwise we would've blown them out at GS. The way they're playing shows their true seeding. But their real seeding is a manufactured position by the amount they are allowed to get away with. Warriors are moving all the time because they are allowed to. Reggie and Ray got open illegally like that. Grabbing then running with the frequent moving screen. But when the whole team does it, it's got to be called.

This what-if world you've created has too many roads. I'm out.

That's why the NBA has an 82 game season, not an 80 games season. Also, it's the reason that the NBA has tiebreakers.

I absolutely HATE the justification of us not deserving 2nd seed because New Orleans beat the Spurs.

Do people not freaking realize that the seeding system is based on wins and losses?!?

(Sarcasm) soo. We actually didn't deserve to be in the playoffs because other teams lost throughout the season.

Does that mean that if the Spurs won and we lost our last game that the Spurs were undeserving of the 2nd seed because the Rockets lost 1 more game than the Spurs and that isn't fair??

The system is literally based on wins and losses. Spurs didn't deserve the 2nd seed because WE won more and the Spurs lost the ones that could have made the difference.

Most idiotic justification ever. One person said it earlier in the playoffs and some people just don't know how to challenge a dumb comment so they mindlessly agree and make a dumb thread about it.

    Close. This. Thread

We earned the 2 seed with 56 wins and a division championship in what was the best division in NBA history. I think we earned the 2 seed, pal.

    Lock this please.

#2 while battling injuries. Coming back from 3-1 to win a series. In the WCF. Yeah we deserve to be where we are. We played them great in their court and just stunk yesterday. 1 bad game. In my mind it's still not over, just takes one game, just one.

Right. 4 posts from this guy are already too many. Quite frankly this is the most stupid thread I have ever read besides the I hate James Frauden one.
