This would be amazing. Absolutely amazing.

    So many story lines...

JJ Watt and Arian Foster are storylines themselves, Quessenberry coming back from leukemia, the qb situation, O'Brien in his second year, Cushing's comeback, Clowney's comeback, Wilfork and his mentoring, etc., etc.

The Browns are supposedly the front runners because of the Manziel circus, I would assume.

It would be the first time I've watched it completely if it did happen to follow the Texans.

Only segment I've ever watched was the Watt segment.

Yeah you know the NFL would love the Texans to do Hard Knocks, it was all about the Falcons, but JJ Watt was the main highlight that week.

Hard Knocks certainly has the ability to make "any" team look interesting.... probably is a better vehicle for a lesser-known team (Bucs?, Rams?, Titans?... similar to the Dolphins from 2 years ago) to get some publicity, vs. one of the more profitable teams... but the Texans would certainly be one of the few NFL teams that can combine a lot of important stories with a lot of big personalities.

It's funny McNair is interested, seeing as we are one of a handful of teams that can be forced into it. I hope we are, though.

It's a private club and they all want the revenue, but at times no single club wants to be under that microscope of attention for a certain off-season. If no one volunteers, then it goes to a system that exempts 1st year coaches and playoff teams (within 2 seasons). I would love to watch it though...Cincy was boring, but everything else has been fantastic.

Every team that's on hard knocks sucks the following season because they're not focused enough during training camp. No, Goodell should let Manziel have it

Exactly... And that's what it would probably end up being.

Wow. You're really missing out. I look forward to it every year no matter who the team is. It's always extremely well done.

Those teams were all going to suck anyway - Hard Knocks or no Hard Knocks.

My favorite show on television. Would be amazing to see the Texans on there.

The show shows nothing interesting to me. However watching Jj go to work is just what they need! Jj watt and O'Briens work ethic did help with the firing of John Fox apparently.

I've never watched it, but only because I don't have the time to dedicate to a show about teams that I don't care about. If they put the Texans on there I'd be all about it.

I have a feeling if this were to happen the season would end with us all loving Watt even more than we already do.......and hating Louis Nix WAY more than we currently do.

Its pretty much the closest thing to football p*rn for big-time NFL fans.... no matter what the team is, its always amazing to see some of the insight/behind the scenes work that these players do.

Fans mostly pay attention to the games, because that's all they really know and it is the 0nly result that matters, but in the grand scheme of things its a very small percentage of a players overall activity/career... and its also a very small percentage of what coaches actually do on a day-to-day basis.

Kaluu & Koch were discussing this today. BoB is dead set against it as am. One one hand, it would give badly needed national publicity to the Texans vis-a-vis the Cows and I can see how McNair would go for this. One the other hand, teams that get profiled on Hard Knocks often do not fare well in the next season (ATL). Considering that they don't have the QB position settled (at all) I would prefer that they work out their issues in anonymity but it's ultimately up to the NFL who can force a team to participate. I have always considered this show to be somewhat of a jinx and would stay as far away from it as possible.
