Have the last two games proven McHale's brilliance... as a GM?

He got a lot of grief for what he did in Minnesota. But honestly nobody did a better job with that franchise during its entire existence and he did get some talented guys.

For example, Randy Foye got 30 vs. Houston and Brewer got 51 tonight. Both of them were McHale's lotto picks. They didn't blossom fast enough to save McHale's job, but Kevin has to feel good seeing how his guys finally grew into superstars.

I like how you mask this thread Carl.

McHale's brilliance will always be questioned.

He is not one of the top five coaches in the league.

But, he was the coach who almost made it in the playoffs with a team of nobody.

He was at the helm last year when we were projected to be one of the last teams in the West even after the Harde trade.

Now, he is successfully maneuvering this ailing team to a home court advantage even after missing some of our key players throughout the season.

The guy is not a genius, he is not the best, and he has some head scratching plays and lineup during the game.

But, he is a coach you would like to play for. A coach that can develop hidden talents. At the same time, he is someone who can keep the locker room peaceful.

    Finally, he is our coach.

Brilliant by ***...he should have played Hamilton instead of garbage Casspi tonight. They need to get rid of the following soft players: Dmo and Casspi. They got outmuscled; they're not athletic; they're slow; they can't shoot consistently; defense is suspect.

I thought this would be about how getting home court isnt really a big deal and McHale is just resting players. Because we'll probably beat Portland regardless of whether were a 4 or 5 seed and resting Howard to 100% is more important becase even if we win our series (which we will), our homecourt wont matter vs the Spurs who have the #1 seed

No they haven't, but they've further proven his incompetence as a head coach.

Lol classic thread... Mchale is perhaps the worst coach in the league but he has a lot of talent so the teams gonna have a decent record regardless. Unfortunately this probably also means mchale a here to stay... It also means we won't win a championship in the next ten years...
