Would you say this is true? Who's set of Forwards is worse than ours?

    Denver Carmello and NE NE
    San Antonio Duncan and Bowen
    Dallas Nowitski and Jameson
    Minnesota Garnett and Trent [Spree?]
Memphis Gasol and Mike Miller [or bonzi?]
    Houston JJ and Cato
    Utah AK and Harpring

    L.A. Lakers Karla and Fox
    Sacramento Webber and Peja
Golden State Dunlavy and Troy Murphy?
    Portland Rasheed and Randolph
    Seattle Rashard and Rodmanocich
L.A. Clippers Elton Brand & Magette?
    Phoenix Matrix and Amare

beyond JJ and Cato . . the next weakest would be who??? AK and Harpring .. . and they are doing VERY WELL.

Yes, but when u add Mo to the mix, they are not that bad. Still might be the worst in the west, but they arent just simply dreadful.

I still think Mo should start to avoid the slow starts. I love the lineup of Steve, Cat, JJ, Mo and Yao. Cato can still get his minutes off the bench. Yeah, it will mean we have 0 offense off the bench other than Piat, but hey, i wanna score more than 15 in the first quarter for a change.

I'd say the worst (excluding us) is Dunleavy and Murphy because they're both young and still a bit inconsistent and streaky (afaict).

But, why make that comparison? Most teams have their power in the forward positions. The Rockets are different in that our power resides in the center position. Why don't you list the 3 starting frontcourt players and then ask how we stack up? Comparing us on a known weakness like that is kinda like listing all the backup point guards and criticizing the Rockets for not measuring up. Valid perhaps, but only marginally relevant.

Wow, we they ARE by far the worst F tandem in the West.

    How about league?

I think Kwame and Hayes? Maybe Boozer and Miles?

We may have the worst starting F's in the league.

I doubt anyone has a better backup F than Mo T though. Just Indiana maybe.

Actually a caller brought it to my attention on the Fan Feed back

    I don't know about Dunleavy . . ..
I'd say his streakiness is on par with JJs about now
Murphy seems an upgrade to Cato [not as defensive but his offense is far superior]

    Not marginally Relevant

When you leading rebounder is in the backcourt. . .how r
    u to fastbreak?

If Yao, Steve and Cat score 25 each . . . can we still make it to a 100?

Someone has stated we play 3 on 5 offense
I can see where they can get that assumption
    i say 4 on 5 myself

When Mo goes in . . Defense nose dives while offense skies up

No kidding, did you see the Dunleavy's stats last night?

    25 14 and 6.

He's really been coming into his own this year.

Our best 2 rebounders are Yao Ming and Kelvin Cato. On a per minute basis, Ford, Cato, Yao, Braggs, Padgett, Taylor, and Jackson are better than Francis. So, I'm not sure the over-rebounding point guard criticism is still valid. In any case, we may well have the weakest forward position in the West, but we have a better record than 6 Western teams who have much more celebrated forwards. If we had better forwards, we'd likely have a better record. OK. If we had a worse point guard, we'd have a worse record. We're still a good team, and still good enough to be in the playoffs. I guess I don't see the point in the exercise.

I'd kill to have those 2 in place of what we have.

Pretty much all of those teams also have at least one star player in the backcourt as well.

The Rockets seem a little unbalanced. They have Yao in the paint and the guards out on the perimeter, but not much of anything in between, which is where forwards usually spend their time.

Ideally, I think it would be best to have a star backcourt player, a star forward, and Yao in the middle.

The way things are now, the opposing 4 can leave Cato to guard Yao inside and the opposing 3 can slack off on JJ to help chase the guards out on the perimeter.

That's not true Sane... right now Mike Dunleavy and Troy Murphy (solid player) are only slightly above ours. Lewis and Radmanovich (not that great either) are not far above either.

In the league... wow I just looked all the tandems up. Haha... Kwame and Hayes are definitely worse than ours. But Boozer and Miles are both solid. Jeez, are there only 2 teams with worse forwards than us in the league??

We have easily the worst starting forwards in the west, especially offensively. Cato and Jackson are decent on defense, but they are killing us on offense.

I honestly like seeing cato out there as a bruiser. he does great bruising up and beating down on players so yao can do his job. I still believe jj is better off playing the two and we need to trade to get someone to play the three who's taller than 6'7.

Both our Starting Forwards are playing out of position and in any case they are realy only backup players, Cato Backup Center, JJ Backup Guard. THis neds to be fixed and quickly.
