While I agree with the general idea that people don't want to play with Kobe, I don't think that had anything to do with Wade. He was always re-signing.
Wade is probably looking to be in a winning situation, and the Lakers are in rebuild mode. That "nobody wants to play with Kobe argument" is not really valid at this point because he only has one year left on his contract. Saying no to the Lakers is saying no to joining a budding team with the likes of Julis Randle, D'Angelo Russel, Jordan Clarkson, and a tonne of cap in the future. That is fine if you're a veteran looking to be in a competitive team immediately, but for stars entering or in their prime, the Lakers are actually quite the ideal place to be.
Makes sense, I knew Wade's value in the open market wouldn't be anymore than what Miami would realistically offer him.
