To be fair, he probably doesn't want Parsons dropping 38 on him the next time they meet.

Parsons was one of the main reasons we won that game. He made more plays than anyone down the stretch.

If you're one of the all-time greats in Kobe, you've got the right to mock defenses. He's probably faced hundreds of defensive players, rotations, and sets over his career. Getting asked about one freshman defender and how his (Parsons) defense affected his (Kobe's) offensive game is silly.

But I'll take his praise of the kid. =]

Whatever, he's such a condescending douche. The guy shuts him down and he just scoffs at him. I can't wait till he retires.

Anyone have the stats since Parsons took over for Lee on guarding Kobe?

You could see Chandler talking to him during the game, probably very respectfully - Chandler is a really smart guy, he was buttering Koby up, all the while thinking that a buttered Kobe is delicious to eat !

    ;)

What do you expect him to say, 'yeah he shut me down'? He is one of the greatest player to ever play the game (easily the greatest of this generation), he truly believes that whomever is guarding him does not make a difference (with good reason, he has dominated many great defensive players during his HOF career).

He did mention his rise to the challenge defense and had nothing but good things to say about him. How was that condescending?

Missed a lot of the game tonight, i wish i would have seen the matchup...how long did Parsons guard him? If anyone can upload the matchup, it would be great. Parsons seems to have the better qualities of Battier and Ariza in one package.

Parsons defended but he also contributed on the Offensive end also.

When the Rox had Battier, Kobe would always guard Battier cuz Batman doesn't do much on the Offensive end. Which gave kobe the energy to turn it on in the 4th quarter.

Today he had to guard Lee and Parsons. More movement and running on defense.

But then again, Kobe is old. Can't keep up with the young legs.

Forgot to add that Parsons' length and height bothered Kobe.

It's like we have have a young Tayshaun Prince.
Remember this board wanted Prince? well, we got better than what we expected from Parsons

That play where he split through the double and went for the big jam was awesome. This kid is getting more and more confident. Made both free throws too:grin:

kobe deserves to be able to talk that way. when you're the best player in the last 10+ years of the game, you can talk like that.

and if you're still mad, what do you have to say to 5 rings?
