If we are to keep our momentum, we have to have a good showing in this series. The Rangers are 21-9 at home, so even a split will not be an easy task.
So they are gonna actually play the games? Might benefit in the long run to just forfeit and keep the pen fresh
WLLW Will be happy with split. Rangers are hot as well. Only guy not playing well is Prince and we all know how he likes to break out against us. Hell, just win 1 game
They're our daddy until we prove otherwise. Hopefully this is the series where we straighten things out a bit with them.
Until the Astros can prove they belong on the same field as the Rangers, I really can't expect much going into this series. Astros really seem intimidated when they play the Rangers.
interesting line movement on the game today favoring the astros despite colby and the rangers owning us
As a side note, Colby Lewis has had a weird career. -- Was a first round pick, and debuted with the Rangers as a 22 year old in 2002. -- Shuttled up and down until tearing his rotator cuff at age 25. -- Spends the next 5 years (prime of his career, or should be at least) shuttling between the minors and Japan, with about 40 major league innings as a reliever mixed in) -- Returns to the Rangers for 2.5 years as an average starter before an elbow injury and a hip injury cause him to miss his age 33 season altogether. -- Returns from injury as a 34 year old posting a >5.00 ERA as a starter -- Wins 17 games as a 35 year old with an ERA >4.50 -- Currently having the best season of his career as a 36 year old.
At some point we have to show we can beat the Rangers. We've given away so many games against them the last year and a half it is ridiculous. Colby Lewis should not be dominating us. Somebody sacrifice a live chicken.
Should be a good series. We're playing good ball right now, and even against the Rangers, that has to matter in the end (on the road and against a good Rangers team is going to be very difficult though).
They have been one of the luckiest baseball teams this year. Stats even suggest it. Let's be gentleman and help the regression.
