Just bs to try to white wash the whole fiasco. We were lied into an unnecessary war by a large portion of our war mongering politicos. The war killed hundreds of thousands of innocents and created ISIL. It is vital for American interests as well as the world to admit our horrible mistake so we don't allow this type of crimes against humanity in our name. I guess you would consider this a conspiracy theory but it is well known that once you start a major war it is hard to predict the results. That is why you don't start stupid elective wars. In this case the dire predictions of the critics who were not cooking the data proved to be much more accurate than the "mission accomplished" crowd.

I think polls shifted strongly towards pro-invasion once it became inevitable that's what Bush was planning to do, but throughout there was a huge anti-war movement in this country.
