Must win the next two games if they're going to have a winning season/playoff spot.

Texans will finally turn the corner and get to 4-3, Gore will probably get back into the offense slowly. They stop the run but only 20th vs the pass so Schaub should be able to find AJ, Walter and OD. They are 28th in passing and 20th in overall scoring so there "O" doesn't really worry me to much even with Gore and Crabtree in the lineup.

    Texans 27
    Niners 17

The Texans could be the 4th seed by the end of the day!!!

Looks like no coverage in Austin this week. KTBC is showing the Vikings/Steelers game at noon.

Gore hasn't really played in 4 weeks. Don't know what to expect out of him.

Expect a lot out of him. he's been practicing well and texans run D sucks...crabs will also be in the starting lineup. he's impressed the coaching staff. Sings doesnt just give away starting jobs

This is just about a must win, please don't follow a big win with another loss.

ESPN giving the Texans some love. They have the Rising and Falling NFL stock, Titans made all 3 of the falling, and the Texans made 2 of the 3 Rising.

    Rising

Schaub 1. Matt Schaub, QB, Texans: Schaub is putting up huge numbers and the passing game is carrying Houston's offense. Over the past five weeks he has averaged almost 329 passing yards and 2.8 touchdown passes per game, but this past weekend's victory at Cincinnati (392 yards, four TDs) may have been Schaub's best performance of the season. Schaub threw in rhythm, manipulated coverages, made excellent decisions and utilized play action very well.

    2. Owen Daniels, TE, Texans: As Schaub's stock has risen, Daniels’ has as well. He has been phenomenal this season and simply tortured the Bengals last week. Daniels has rare athletic ability for the tight end position and moves almost like a wide receiver. He is a developing player who can consistently create mismatches against any defense that Houston faces.

I hope someone gets a chance to lay out Crabtree.

Your right, the local Bay Area Niners Beat Writers are saying he is practicing well, that MUST mean that he is due for a big week after not playing in a month...

If that was the case Mario, Slaton, the entire O-Line, the entire Secondary, and Okoye would be BEASTLY every week, because thats all you hear from John McClain.

And since week 3, the Texans have had the number 1 rush Defense in the entire league. So your generalization that the "Texans Run D Sucks" is a little bit outdated since the last team to score on us in the second half of a game was J-Ville.

That all being said, I like the Texans covering the number in this game (I believe it is 3) and finally stopping this L,W,L,W,L,W trend. Crabtree is going to see how much he deserved that "Top WR" money. This aint Tech buddy, your not lining up againt that stellar BIG 12 Pass Defenses anymore.

Quin is going to B*Slap him, one rookie to another.

49ers off a bye, bad taste in their mouth after a home loss to Atlanta.

Tough against the run, not as great against the pass. That plays to our strengths nicely, as long as Kubiak doesn't decide that he has to establish the run again.

Anemic passing team, but who knows what Crabtree can add, again off the bye week. Middle of the pack ground game with Gore/Coffee. Gore exploded on Seattle, but he hasn't been that great otherwise. Far from the nightmare matchup we faced in Chris Johnson. I trust the Cushing/Ryans combo against him.

Come out strong, play both halves, and this is a 35-13 walloping by us.

Come out happy with ourselves, trying to run-run-pass, and facing a fired up team? 17-24 head hanging.

On the first play of the game the Texans should jedi mind trick the 49ers into thinking that the out pattern, the one that has resulted in turnovers, is coming straight at them. AJ sells the route, Db makes a break on the ball, only to see AJ fly by him.....80 yard td or a sack. It's worth a gamble.

The crowd is going to be loud can't wait. Maybe the most important game in our team's history?

John McClain is an idiot, Gore couldve played against falcons. they wanted to give him the extra week with the bye.

it's easy to improve your run defense when you play oakland and arizona...and you go right ahead you think stopping cedric benson is an accomplishment...

texans- 29th in rushing and and improved 27th against it....you better hope shaub can go for 400 and 3td's
