He's going to be all-nba first team with 12/11/5. And a mediocre player like Nene absolutely dominated him. And he's going to be first team.

Looks like Noah is going to win DPOY:

The Chicago Bulls have called for a 4:00 p.m. press conference to make a major announcement.

The announcement is believed to be related to a major off-season award. The growing belief is that the Bulls will announce that center Joakim Noah has been named the NBA’s Defensive Player of the Year.

The Bulls rallied behind Noah during the second half of the season. While Noah is expected to be recognized for his defensive ability, the Bulls center also transformed into a great facilitator of the Bulls’ offense.

Noah finished the season by averaging a double-double with 12.6 points per game and 11.3 rebounds per game. Noah also averaged 1.5 blocks per game and 5.4 assists per game.

Noah’s emergence as a leader for the Bulls will certainly have a lasting impact. When Derrick Rose comes back next season, he is not coming back to his team. Rose will be returning to a Bulls team that is led by Noah. Though, that shouldn’t be an issue as Rose has said previously that Noah is the unquestioned leader of the Bulls.

The last Bulls player to earn Defensive Player of the Year honors was Michael Jordan during the 1987-1988 season.

i know that Greg Smith was picked up by the Bulls when we waived him, but since that was after March 1st, I didn't think he was eligible to be on the playoff roster. I just saw him in a suit on the Bulls bench. Does that mean he is on the roster (perhaps inactive but available to be activated)? Is there something to the fact that he was injured during the whole second half of the season that changed how he was treated for playoff rosters when we waived him?

    Another classic Shaq quote.

"Plyometrics is keeping it up high so the little man can't swing at it."

    Go Wizards!

(A quick Bulls exit may sour Melo on Chicago);)

Noah has the ugliest push shots yet I have no idea how they continue to go in.

Wizards with a better coach would be clearly the 3rd best team in the East

HUGE miss by Miller. That's a potential 4 point swing

I was actually thinking this as well, but that would require us winning our series as well, so hopefully we take care of that.

    Very disappointing half by Wall.

on a side note, can we sign Augustin during the offseason? He's an unrestricted FA after his one yr, 700k contract is up.
