A poster here claimed Llull's deal is 1.2M euros/yr. That'd be 1.33M USD. Taking the tax thing into consideration, ie Real Madrid takes care of Llull's tax bill. In the NBA it's worth 2.66M USD.

    3yr contract: USA = 17.1M - 5.6M (RM buyout) + 625k (NBA buyout) = 12.1M, Spain = 7.98M

    4yr contract: USA = 23.3M - 5.6M + 625k = 18.3M, Spain = 10.64M

A full MLE deal gives Llull a salary raise even when taking into account the buyout. Plus with 3 yrs in the NBA he qualifies for the NBA pension. A little extra security Europe doesn't offer.

Thanks for the clarification. So it is possible, that he might be able to come here this year depending on what his deal in Spain is.

I doubted him at first but looking at his game closely he looks like he could provide us a great boost of productivity from the guard spot... hope he comes over.
