That storm is still moving across into the Great Lakes the Appalachia regions, and there are some smaller storms brewing in north-central Texas.
Sending thoughts and prayers to y'all from Shanghai - hope everyone made it out with little or no damage.

Supposed to drive from NW Houston (JV area) to Spring (Rayford/Sawdust), I usually leave around 7:30, probably not a good idea to drive today right?
God, I am so f**king over this s**t. Rockets in conference finals, Astros have the best record in the AL. Naturally these two occurrences were precursors to the end of days.
Drove from the 2920 area in Spring all the way to downtown this morning at around 6:30. That was one big ass storm up north but it got a hell of a lot better as I got closer to downtown
Pretty cool article describing just how much rain has fallen in Texas: http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs...-texas-visualized/?postshare=8331432753847254 And updated drought maps. Pretty awesome turn around. This week: Spoiler September 2011 Spoiler

Were I skilled and inclined, it would be fun to take that scene in Three Amigos where Martin Short and Steve Martin try to drink their canteens and get sand and nothing followed by Chevy Chase drinking gulp after gulp from his canteen and then throwing the remainder on the ground to drain away while they look on...movie magic it up to tag each of the first two as California and Chevy Chase as Texas. Alas I am not skilled or inclined.
