Didn't see this posted. Clearly nothing earth shattering, although it does confirm we're in "win-now" mode (assuming the offers are somewhat reasonable). I'm sure someone posted this and I will get flamed, but if not, here it is...

No showing up at their door at 12:01 either, like with our attempt to snare Rashard with the MLE, lol.

Also, haven't seen anyone refer to Nene as anything else except for his first name for a while!

How does adding a top 10 Center at our greatest position of need only elevate us 2 spots? Remember we were playing down a man almost the entire season last year and barring some set backs (yao, ab) easily could have had the 7th seed WITHOUT Nene.

I like Nene, he'll bring much needed hilarity to the team. Nene plays basketball hilariously.

True, and the West is slowly becoming a joke compared to the East. Dallas OKC Memph LA then possibly Rockets... So possibly 5th seed.

That Pistons team seems to be what Morey is modeling this team after. But we fall short in a few areas. This biggest area is defense. 2/3/4 are nowhere near as good defensively as Rip/Tayshaun/Sheed. Also, we don't have a stretch 4. Lastly, we would need a defensive beast in the middle that isn't 6'6", and I don't see Nene being that guy.

I do, however, think that Lowry could become the next Chauncey Billups. And I don't think it would be too far-fetched to think that PPat could develop into a player similar to Rasheed Wallace.

The Red Rowdies went to Denver but Nene was in Brazil. Go figure.

Better than going to Brazil if he were still in Denver.

Exactly. With Nene leaving 1 of the teams in front of us and Paul possibly leaving sooner than later on another team in front of us I just don't see why we can't get the 5 seed or possibly higher if other things go our way.

To me THAT will be the best sales pitch to Dwight on coming here. Mid level playoff team that can add the best C in the game without losing any core pieces. I am still trying to figure out why this has any less of a chance of working than an immediate fire sale and lotto tour.

I realize the allure of this highly loaded draft, but just because "experts" say it is, doesn't mean it will turn out that way and it certainly won't be the last draft that a superstar is ever found. This doesn't HAVE to be the year we go for the lotto.

I thought he changed his name legally to Nenê. No "Maybiner", no "Hilario".

Does his baby have a last name? You know, just some kind of placeholder last name? (Ironically, nenê means baby, so maybe the baby's name is Nenê Nenê [baby baby]?)
