    Now if he actually plays this year, I have a problem with that. Which is ?

    Why the heck would you let him go ? Then sign a ham sandwich you just released ?

    I know he's injured, but even if he wasn't he wouldn't be allowed to compete during the playoffs, right?

    He won't play this season. A few games left. Waived after deadline so won't play in the playoffs. He'll be ready by training camp for sure though. I'm glad he got a team. He'll be great under Thibs and Noah. So happy for him.
