Too tough to say. Let's just keep winning. Maybe the last five games you start to try to strategize, about who you want to face and how likely it is to happen. Right now though GSW and POR are too close to call. We need to get close to the Clippers to have any kind of ability to control our destiny.

And as much as I would like to avoid OKC in the second round, I don't think prognosticating past the first round is a luxury we can yet afford. Aim for Portland, the clear weakling among the top 7, at least as far as matchups with the Rockets are concerned.

I think we should win the game at home vs Clips. The other two projected losses are from b2b's. Still winnable games. We could also lose the game vst OKC.

Ive seen OKC schedule and I think Clippers and even us have a chance to get ahead of them.

Why can't you just simply appreciate the effort we put in our forum and let the moderators decide if it should be merged or not?

Made a similar thread last season as well.

It's a lot easier to discuss and follow the same topic in one thread. Why did you feel you needed to start a new one when there is already a thread talking about the same thing?

Rockets currently have the same number of wins (48) as the Miami Heat. Who would have predicted?

Match-Ups as they are today are the most favorable for the Rockets we could hope for.

At home in the first round against the "not Spurs, Clippers or Thunder" and a second round match-up against the "not Clippers or Thunder".

Or put another way, Rockets are in a position to play teams they have a winning record against in the first two rounds.

Wow you gave every team an outstanding projected record. You dont think one of these teams (including us) will lose over 2-3 games?

So who do you predict will finish in the 8th spot? Mavs or Suns?

Honestly didn't notice the other thread. Originally wanted to start this one about 10 games ago but thought of waiting till the last 10 games or so. Made a similar thread last season which did so well and i thought i'd do it every year for everyone to get updates on the other teams' game results as well.

Anyhow, Mods, if you fellas feel like this should be merged with the other thread, please go ahead and do so. My apologies. Didn't see the other one and was honestly planning to make this thread a regular thing each season. Thanks!

Any reason why you have both Houston and Memphis losing in Denver? Denver is decent at home but it seems weird to have that happen. I guess Houston is going there on the second night of a back to back.

The records do look a little too good, though that seems justified especially for the Clippers. I think you probably need to put in a bad team win like the Lakers or Pelicans since those do happen, but are hard to predict.

Did you come up with these results from your "gut" feeling like last season?

GS will move up to the 5 spot and face Houston in the first round. SA, OKC and Clips will maintain their positions. With Bledsoe back and playing well, I think Phx outguns Dallas for the 8 spot. Memphis will be at 7. Portland at #6.

I think we have a chance (Albeit slim) to move on top the Clippers for the 3rd seed ... but ONLY if we can beat them on Saturday.
Clippers recently had a hard time putting away 2 lottery teams: Detroit and Milwaukee. And this was on their home court. I don't see them winning on the road against tough teams like OKC, Suns, or even the Pelicans who are surprisingly good at home.

Mavs are better by far in the front court than the Suns. I think Suns will fade and Mavs will get 8th spot.
