There seems to be a split between people thinking the refs totally screwed us over the last few games or that we simply can't execute. I think the refs are to blame and the momentum is somewhat impacted but I really think the reason we've been on a bad skid is because we simply go cold at the wrong times and don't convert on offense and have bad lapses on defense (wide open Allen 3 with no play running??). I mean yeah coach doesn't run many plays but you can't fault him for player miscues and bad lapses. If we were able to grind out the Portland win we should've grinded this one and maybe the OKC one too. We just didn't show up for the Bulls one. Consistency is what the team lacks. It has definitely gotten better in the new year but not quite there yet.

They changed the game when the lead went to 5. Granted Allen was left wide open out of that time-out, but a delay of game for tipping the ball to the ref. Does nothing but slow the game down, now if the ball is tipped away then there is a reason for that call.

Not just that, Allen got 2 points when a clear offense foul should have been called on Lebron. Once Miami got momentum there wasn't enough time to get it back.

Not the refs fault allen was wide open for a 3 off of a timeout and dwight can't keep himself from getting defensive 3 second calls. Did they screw us, yea. But we didn't help. If you can't get stops in the 4th quarter you can't win in the playoffs. Parsons 1st half defense and Harden's overall defense were terrible

Parsons has been pretty off the past few games. Just 9 points.

Doesn't matter that they are the champs. They were certainly in a bad slump case and point blowing a lead to the Nuggets also on their home floor.

The teams still young. Still gotta learn how to win close games on the road. They do great at home tho

We allowed the refs to take us out of our game in crunch time. Therefore, it's on us OP, we still have to execute and run our offense.

Weird thing is, if Dwight had just started running down court that ball after the shot would have rolled to half court with a heat in hot pursuit to throw it back! he did a favor tapping it to the ref. Geesh !

About the lamest whistle i've seen in a while.

The refs were Miami favored from the tip. Having two superstar in LeBron and Wade who get calls regardless certainly helps but it seemed like Miami was getting most of the 50/50 calls tonight and a lot of calls or no calls that favored them. To say the refs didn't have a factor in this game is crazy.

But the Rockets didn't help themselves down the stretch. When the whistles started to go towards Miami at the end, we panicked. Hoisting up quick shots, playing ISO ball, standing on one side of the floor, weak defense, fouling and overplaying the ball; everything was because we started panicking towards the end.

That worries me about this team, at this time. We are easily panicked when the whistles doesn't favor us or the other team is making a run. I feel that's the main reason why we give up huge runs in a lot of games because the moment the tempo changes and we start getting rattled, we panic and stop playing our game and we see what happened in the last 5 minutes of today's game. But I think every team goes through that when they have a basically new squad. We need to grow up and know how to fight back when rattled.

It's pretty inexplicable for the refs to give a team free points via a delay of game and defensive violation that late in the game. Seriously, this probably doesn't happen if it were Miami being in our shoes. Those points freaking matter and it's unacceptable job by the refs.

That doesn't excuse how the Rockets handled the situation and once again poorly executed whatever the hell it was they were trying to accomplish on offense. Lin threes with 20 secs on the shot clock? Beverley threes? Harden contested threes? How about a screen and roll with Harden/Dwight to start?

If the team had continued to execute, then it wouldn't have been in the refs hands....

They aren't just going to give you the game against the 2 time defending champs on national TV. Gotta take it. Gotta want it.

We probly couldve executed better if the refs let us hold players so we could back cut for easy layups but yeah its on us for not executing and giving up phantom techs.

Am I wrong in being mad at Lin for that? Lin was getting beat up all game in front of the refs. He was trying all game to "embellish" the contact that was all ready there. no call. why would Lin think that him doing the same thing against LEBRON JAMES in winning time would provide a different result? I Just wish he would fight a little more because they never give him those calls. It makes him look like a b**** him whining and looking at the refs all the time.

    Stupid thread

Nobody's saying we aren't too blame. We made mistakes just like Miami. But the difference is they got most the 50/50 calls and a few bogus ones. Lebron should've had at least 4-6 fouls but the refs refused get him in foul trouble
