Good thing they still have their amnesty provision. Having the Jordan brand back in chicago would be huge and I can see Adidas not liking this. Melo and rose would be fun to watch def.

Shocker. He'd rather play with a PG and he'd rather have a younger teammate. Of course, that move could end up being Amare 2.0, if Rose can't get and stay healthy.

Wonder if Thibs would kill Melo, or get him to buy into defense.

Pacers - Bulls games are intense as it is, because of history, now there would be a George-Melo angle too.

It would be great for them though.

    Rose
    Butler
    Carmelo
    Mirotic
    Noah

And they have all those picks too, they could keep adding young guys or trade for vets to add to this core.

They would have to get move Taj Gibson as well, though. Just amnestying Boozer won't be enough. Or do a sign and trade with the Knicks.

When focused, he's a far better defender than Boozer. When not focused, it's still about even. I think Thibs has learned some anger management techniques by now.

That would definitely be a contender. Remember Melo made it pretty deep in the playoffs with a good PG in Billups, with Thibs...could be scary...IF...IF Rose can return and stay healthy...

Really return too and still be the dynamic player he once was.

The truth is that Carmelo prefers playing by himself.

He is the kind of selfish player that would be perfectly content playing 1 on 5 because it means he is going to take 100% of the shots on the team and no one is ever going to blame him for not trying to play any defense.

Is it really surprising that a selfish player doesn't want to play with another selfish player?

I don't think it'd be smart for him to go to the Bulls. If Derrick Rose doesn't play this year, which is supposed to be the case, he might go into next season and find himself in another Amar'e situation. Then what? Most of his career would have been spent with max contract deadbeats on his teams.

Brewer, Greg Smith and a 2nd for Dunleavy, or perhaps without the 2nd. Just depends how desperate Chicago is.

His other option so far is to stay with a rebuilding NYK team, A FO that makes mistake after mistake...or play with a 35 year old player who also recently can't stay healthy and probably on his last legs...

Chicago must be paradise compared to those two situations. At least there Rose is still young and if he were to return and be his old self then he suddenly is playing on elite team.

Actually, with or without Derrick Rose, I could see the bulls being a good fit for Anthony.

I don't see Thibs getting along with melo. I could be wrong, Melo might change, but I doubt it.
