    So we are almost certainly in 4th place. With Portland with 4 games left and being up two a half, Rockets would have to collapse. I see Portand losing to the Warriors and possibly jumping them for 5th. Just as long as beat the Pelicans we are solid. Can't wait for game one.

    Yah, at this point it's almost academic. Rockets are probably 99% going to be the 4th seed. Now it's up to Portland and GSW to exhaust themselves to avoid the Clippers in the 1st round while our players take turns chilling in suits.

    I honestly expect some fairly dodgy basketball and minimal contact defense for a lot of this last stretch.

    It's still possible to p-ss it away. Every game from here on out is one where the Rockets should be the favorite, but Denver and this Saturday at home against New Orleans will be B2Bs, so fatigue could be an issue. At Minnesota is no guarantee considering what they did to the Spurs(albeit sans Parker) last night. And neither at home against San Antonio nor at New Orleans are gimmes by any stretch.

    Hopefully they wrap up home court soon so they can rest guys like Harden, T-Jones, and Parsons. The only thing they'd have left to play for after that would be if they wanted to try to finish with a better record than Miami and Indiana just in case they make it to the Finals.
