Jan. is gonna be a b****. Lots of road games. Lots of games every other night. If we are still 500 at the end of Jan., then the league better take notice because that will really be an accomplishment. I'm very pleased about the way this team is developing.

Phil Jackson," give the rockets some sensored credit"

Honestly, for being the youngest team in the NBA and them playing with basically all new teammates, Rockets have truly impressed thus far. Houston could've easily been down there with the likes of NOH,SAC,WAS,CHA,DET but they are hanging around right in the mix.

Well run organization and job well done analyzing and maximizing talent.

Doesn't make the schedule easy when those "Leastern" conference teams have been their best teams (CHI, MIA, NYK, BOS, ATL)

Different strokes for different folks though. I know I can't change your mind.

it's the nba.. there are more average and bad teams than ok teams.

We can play with every team home or away, as long as they're not the top seeds and it's not a 12 in the afternoon start. Bring it!

Youngest team in the league...they are supposed to drop those "easy" games in a lot of people's eyes...

"slowly, and ahead of schedule..." "unspeakable tragedy that he recently endured, dealing with the untimely passing of his daughter Sasha..."

So many OT losses and other winnable games that were blown towards the end...record could be even more impressive. Many of the losses Rockets were in it the whole way. Miami, Dallas, Portland 2x, Spurs, etc.

If you think its an easy schedule so far - then you must think the January and February schedule is against D-league teams....I personally think the toughest part of the schedule will be over by the new year

According to basketball-reference.com's formula, the Rockets have had the 6th highest strength of schedule in the league:

    http://www.basketball-reference.com/leagues/NBA_2013.html

The one part that is favorable is that HOU has had more home games than road games (15H to 10R).

Luckily, more than half of those are against the East. I'm hoping it balances out, and the team continuously gelling puts the Rockets over the top.

I disagree. IIRC our schedule thus far has been in the top 5 toughest in the league. If account our age and experience then being 13-12 is pretty good.

If you thought we have had an easy schedule then your expectations are higher than most, imo.

But the month of January will be the toughest by far. So many road games and back-to-backs. If we can hold out with a .500 record during that month then that would be superb.
