what do you guys think of making Kenny a coach? he wasnt the best player, not even close but he played with the greatest big man in the game and perfected his role and everyone elses being the PG-----and he doesnt sound that stupid commentating either? just an opinion
Kenny had no nads as a player and he'd be a nadless coach. That former point guard in Portland just might have had enough slapping around by his players in practice and want to migrate here. That would be ok.
Kenny Smith cannot be a head coach. Maybe he can. But I don't think so. I don't think he could be any better than Larry Smith. He could be a good assistant though. And he can probably still play better as a backup than Moochie.
apparently you don't remember the crap Kenny was spewing during the draft. And also during a rookie orientation in which euro players were attending. Kenny would be a ****ty coach.
I remember that. I understood Kenny's take as a form of defense for his "American brothers". I admit that I sensed a little bit of jealousy or frustration with the whole "foreign players" hype but that does not translate in any form into a vendetta. He has been gracious as a TV analyst and has not shown any biase towards non-American NBA players in his takes and commentary.
Tis true what you say, but I interpreted Kenny's reactions as something different alltogether. He just didn't know jack about these players, but he felt compelled to yap his ignorant mouth in order to prop up the players he did know. He has turned it around tho, imo, but it'll take me awhile to forget how stupid he was acting. And no, I don't really think he has a vendetta against euros, and I doubt Oski believes that either. It was a tongue-in-cheek joke.
Lets bring him around slowly and let him be an assistant coach for about 10 to 13 years first then lets see what he can do. April Fools joke about the Franchise. I just read it ten minutes ago and still can't stop laughing.
