Splash brothers combined take as many as Harden and have the same eFG% in aggregate. That is surprising to me based on the eye test, but maybe I am over weighting Curry's circus threes and under weighting Harden's foul drawing possessions.

eFG% doesn't take into account free throws. It is based on actual made shots.

He's saying he will work to get penetration or separation but if it doesn't happen, he will rifle off a pass to a shooter at the 3 pt line with 2 seconds left on the clock (which is usually the best play at that point). But if the shooter's man hasn't helped off of him, it looks like he's hung the shooter "out to dry". Just poking a little fun at our MVP. It's probly better than James having to take a contested fade away 2 (though he can make those).

How often does James run down the shot, lulling his defender to sleep - and then step back and drill it....

Not saying our offense isnt frequently stagnant... but I get the feeling its more by design.... ;)

I don't think James Harden is the best player in basketball. I'd still give the nod to LeBron because of the freakish overall skills package he has. I think you could argue that Steph Curry is better than Harden because of his historic shooting ability. I think you could argue that Anthony Davis is better than Harden because of his freakish athleticism and fluidity that makes him a monster on both ends. I think you could argue that a healthy Kevin Durant is better than James due to his length/shooting edge on Harden. You could even argue that Westbrook's better because his ability to defend gives him a higher 2-way ceiling than Harden. The only guy I'd say is definitely better than Harden is LeBron, I think the others are toss-ups.

But James Harden is the best ISO creator in the NBA. I think we've reached a point where this is no longer just an opinion and is simply the truth. Especially with the way that LeBron's outside jumper has remained woefully inconsistent. If you look at Steph Curry's stats, the one real negative that you'll see is that he is just a good but not great ISO scorer... he depends on those borderline illegal screens from Bogut and Draymond for a lot of good looks off screens (that he makes because he's an admittedly awesome shooter).

There isn't a better "give him the ball and let him make something out of nothing" guy in the sport than our boy the Beard. The fact that he's able to be so efficient in bail-out ISO situations at the end of the shot clock is such an advantage this team has.

BTW, if anyone calls out Harden for "only being good because he flops to get to the line"... all you need to do is show them the graph in the OP. That's eFG% which doesn't even count the fouls that Harden draws late in the shot clock. I bet Harden would look even more impressive if this chart measured TS% instead of eFG%.

Harden's stepback is one of the signature shots in the entire league right now. Just vicious.

what this graph tells us is how good the worriors run their offense, curry and klay both took high per shots in late clock situations, and what makes it better is that they didnt have to do that very often, coz in their offense the ball rarely stops moving.

    Last year or career numbers?

I'm guessing just last year. Haha on Kobe.

I love when the stats verify my eyesight. Beard=clutch. There is NOBODY else in the league that I'd rather give the ball to with 10 sec left on the clock.

And it doesn't even take into effect his ability to get to the line in those situations.

Harden rates from good to excellent in just about every advanced offensive measure you can find. It's pretty amazing.

This is a great example of why Harden shoudl have been the MVP last year and not Curry.

He had a far more difficult job than Curry and put up similar or better numbers doing so..

    **** you State Farm.
