It's an arbitrary bull**** ranking to begin with, but anybody who takes such an extreme stance on a relatively unknown commodity is a putz. Just like nobody here is touting Osweiler as the next Aaron Rodgers, nobody should be calling him the next Ryan Leaf either.
It's crazy but the best way to shut those hsters/doubters up is prove them wrong. Go out there and set the league on fire. We have the weapons to be a prolific offensive force in the passing game. So Brock,"handle your business ". Let's go Texans
I have a pretty good feeling we will set the league on fire. This might be the best team in Texans history and it ain't even close. People don't wanna believe it, be we are playoff contenders/SB contenders. Just wait.
I don't see how that's "crazy". If he plays well, Texans are in the Super Bowl hunt, if he doesn't, then they find another QB in 2 years and waste everyone's time. It's really all on him and O'Brien.

Brock Osweiler was on the December 1st cover of Sports Illustrated and not a soul thought that was weird. This revisionist history is really something to behold.
Benjamin Albright, member of Denver media, goes on 610 Mad Radio this morning and drops some truth bombs about the Oz contract Some interesting things: 1) Had an 18.5 million offer ready but Brock didnt take their call 2) Elway wasnt too concerned and though it was a no brainer OZ would re-sign. 3) College roommate with Elway's son and stayed at the Elway house when he arrived in Denver 4) Brock felt the team transitioned to him as starter and was completely caught off guard with the benching after the SD game. 5) Franchise tag was never considered for Brock since Elway was confident he would re-sign http://houston.cbslocal.com/2016/07/26/the-broncos-didnt-lose-osweiler-over-money/
And no big media outlet will report any of this and they'll continue to trot out the "Elway had a line in the sand" narrative.
To be fair, this is one local media personnel. Why should be believe all that he is saying versus what the others have been saying?
Because the others probably haven't done 1/10th of the research as the local guy. National media glosses over details, and only pushes agendas that fit their pre-determined narratives.
True. But to be fair who cares? Even the national media has gotten past it... and while there's still some chatter about the $$ going to a guy with so few starts, with some of the other contracts that have been handed out, and given the time that has passed and the ability for those folks to research just what the contract is and how it fits relative to other QBs in the NFL, the chatter has really died down. It's interesting, but ultimately regardless of the deal dynamics among Brock, Denver and Houston... it's time to just put it on the field and see if Brock is what he hope he is.
I bet anything that, all money aside, we traded Denver Boz for von miller or something, the whole media would be touting Elway as a great choice, and all of Denver would be ecstatic. It's crazy how much the national media hates Houston.
I can't believe Brock got so butt hurt about being benched for Manning. People were defending parson's when he was here too. I know everyone will will defend Brock now, but this was a b**** move by him. If he ends up sucking people will point to this as him as being mentally weak.
He was benched for a washed up has been who didn't even perform as well as he did.....I mean he SHOULD be upset about it, he should have been the starting QB on a SB winning team but they stole that from him. He may never have another opportunity like that again.
how was it a b**** move if he didn't pout about it during the season. It's only a b**** move when you cause locker room drama.
